On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Bollywood actress Koena Mitra wrote a blog on faux feminism and also expressed her views on recent happenings in the Bollywood.

The actress stated that top Bollywood actresses stayed mum on major #MeToo allegations and avoided to answer anything related to it.

Koena also lashed out at Tanushree Dutta who is considered as the actress who started the movement in India. She said that Tanushree came to India and accused Nana Patekar about an incident happened years ago, though there videos which were present about what happened. After allegations, Nana had to step down from his projects. Koena added that now, Tanushree has flown back to the US and settled in her cosy workplace. She did not stay back to see what happened to the actor. Koena further stated that Tanushree got her two bits of fame, some brands to endorse, events to earn money from and returned to the US happily.

However, Koena added that not all women are just talk and no action. She said that she admires and look up to Kangana Ranaut and love her audacity to call a spade a spade even if it’s at the cost of a gun being pointed at her head. For herKangana is the human definition of feminism.
